Can’t run Yum Update – Byte ID 7

Bad id for repo: Some Repo Name, byte = 7

What this means is that in your SomeRepoName.conf file your repository deifinition has a space, so if your repository is Some Repo Name, change it to Some_Repo_Name, and problem solved
